SURREY, BC – Central City Brewers + Distillers has announced details of two seasonal pumpkin ales, one the latest instalment in the character-based series of beers inspired by a fictional neo-noir Central City storyline, and the other an old favourite coming back by popular demand.
New in the character series is Patrick O’ Pumpkin Barrel-Aged Imperial Pumpkin Ale, an 8% abv flavoured ale with the following notes:
Patrick O’ Pumpkin Barrel-Aged Imperial Pumpkin Ale is a full-bodied spiced pumpkin ale that has been barrel-aged in bourbon barrels with a dark amber orange colour. This robust, strong ale is rich and flavourful with a spicy attitude that has been brewed for the seasoned craft beer drinker. “We added a bit of twist to our pumpkin ale with an Imperial strength barrel-aged beer with bourbon and vanilla essences and some coffee and roasted flavours to make it a wonderful drinking experience,” says Gary Lohin, Central City’s brewmaster.
Back for a return visit is Red Racer Spiced Pumpkin Ale, a 5% abv beer described as “an amber ale with added spices and malty flavour reminiscent of pumpkin pies to make for a rich and full seasonal ale fit for any holiday feast.”
Both beers are rolling out now, and will be available in 650 ml bottles at liquor stores throughout British Columbia while supplies last.
