HALIFAX, NS – A celebration of sausage taking place in Halifax next week has announced details of several specially brewed local beers and an exclusive cider that will serve as official beverages for the festival.
Sausage Fest HFX 2015 will run from September 19th to 27th, with sausage-themed events and menu features being offered at venues and restaurants throughout Halifax. And to accompany the tasty tubular meat, the following brews will be available at many participating locations:
Boxing Rock Kerfuffle APA – “A fresh, bright, coppery gold pale ale with a balanced malty backbone and smooth bitterness to wash down your carnivorous sausage indulgences.”
Bulwark Hopped Citrus Cider – “Cascade and comet hop varieties combine with the apple base to create a light and refreshing cider featuring notes of lemon and grapefruit.”
Garrison Sweet Rye’d – “Brewed with rye, wheat and Munich malt this copper-coloured harvest ale is ripe with aromas of herb and black pepper, melon and citrus fruit.”
Propeller Wind Swell Wheat – “Ample additions of Cascade hops bring flowery, citrus & spice notes while the wheat added provides a silky smooth finish.”
