TORONTO, ON – Duggan’s Brewery has announced plans to tap an Oktoberfest beer at it’s brewpub in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood this coming weekend, and a suitably Bavarian-themed party will take place to mark its release.
Duggan’s #11 Oktoberfest is a 6.6% abv golden lager with the following description:
Smooth, clean malt aroma leads to a complex and elegant malty sweetness upon first taste. The finish is dry and crisp. Noble hops are used to produce a soft bitterness that gently balances the Vienna and Munich malts. The beer is topped off with a solid, off-white foam stand. Brewed in the late spring, aged in our cellar for the summer, and awakened for the fall celebrations, Ein Prosit!
The beer will be launched at the brewpub (1346 Queen St. W., Toronto) on Saturday September 26th at 2:00 PM, where it will be available alongside other Duggan’s brands including #3 German Pilsner and #13 Hefeweizen.
The party will continue throughout the afternoon and evening, with performances by George Kash & The Oktoberfest Express at 4:00 and 8:00 PM, and an assortment of German-inspired food specials including schnitzel, sausages, pork hock, currywurst, pretzels and more.
