COLLINGWOOD, ON – The Collingwood Brewery has revealed a new look for its core brand line-up, and has also announced plans to release this year’s edition of its annual harvest ale via the LCBO for the first time.
Soon to be sporting new and colourful cans are the brewery’s Downhill Pale Ale, Fireside ESB, and Rockwell Pilsner. This change comes along with expanded distribution for two of the brands, as Fireside will be joining Downhill on LCBO shelves in mid-October, and Rockwell will be stocked at select Beer Store locations around the same time.
Expanded availability is also in the cards for the 2015 edition of Vintage Ale, a 6.9% abv strong ale described as follows:
Brewed just once a year to celebrate the local hop harvest, this is a golden hued beer that infuses fresh organic hops from Bighead Hops in Meaford with wild flower honey from the Beaver Valley. The hops were hand picked one hour before being added into the brew. Fresh or “wet” hops contribute a different character to beer. It has a floral, fruity, peppery and nutty aroma. The initial flavor of honey-fruit carries through to spice and nut.
Vintage Ale 2015 is available now in the Collingwood Brewery retail store, and will be in select LCBO locations later this autumn.
