YELLOWHEAD COUNTY, AB – The first annual edition of Alberta Beer Week wrapped up this past weekend, but not before another new brewery took the event as an opportunity to release its first beers.
Bench Creek Brewing – a soon-to-open “destination brewery” in Yellowhead County, approximately 200 km west of Edmonton – made its debut at the Edmonton Oktoberfest with three brands: Black Spruce Porter, Naked Woodsman Pale Ale, and White Raven IPA.
White Raven was also made available on draught at Beer Revolution in Edmonton over the weekend, the same venue that tapped a one-off cask ale brewed in collaboration with Ribstone Creek Brewery last Thursday. Retail sales of the Bench Creek beers are currently exclusive to Sherbrooke Liquor, where White Raven is available for growler fills.
