TORONTO, ON – Toronto-based fans of barrel-aged beers will want to make sure they’ve got some time set aside on the next few Fridays, as Bellwoods Brewery has announced release dates and details for four beers recently retrieved from their wooden resting places.

The beers, their applicable release dates and other details include:

Monogamy Centennial Brett Barrel Aged with Apricot & Peach (October 16th) – “This one spent a year in barrels with several strains of brett, before being blended into a tank with fruit. The resulting beer is all about brett-derived aromatics, flavours of stone fruit, and was finished with a soft carbonation.”

Lambda Brett Barrel Aged Quad (October 23rd) – “This bold brew is one of the only beers we make that tends towards the sweet, but it’s balanced by complex aromas of port, sherry, red grape, caramel, and brett funk. Barrel aged for a year, and conditioned in bottles for 9 months.”

Three Minutes to Midnight Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Cherries (October 30th) – “This fan favourite has only ever been released once before and if your frequent emails inquiring about its return are any indication, you’ll be pretty excited to welcome it back into your loving embrace.”

Donkey Venom Brett Barrel Aged Baltic Porter (November 6th) – “All the yeast funk, lactic acid kick, and interplay of roasted malts with tart fruit flavour you’ll ever want.”

All of the beers will go on sale in the Bellwoods retail store at 11:00 AM on their respective release dates.

This week’s release of the special edition Monogamy Centennial will be limited to approximately 4000 bottles, selling for $9 per 500 ml bottle with no per-person purchase limit. Edition size, price, and purchase limit (if applicable) for the future releases will be announced on the Bellwoods Twitter feed once confirmed.
