PETIT-PAQUETVILLE, NB – Distillerie Fils du Roy, an artisan distillery in rural New Brunswick that added a brewery earlier this year, has announced the release of its latest beer.
As reported by Maritime Beer Report, North Shore Regiment Barley Wine is a 12% abv and 45 IBU strong ale named after an Infantry Battalion based in Northern New Brunswick that has roots in the area extending back to 1870.
The beer is described as follows:
A showcase of malty richness and complex, intense flavors. Chewy and rich in body, with warming alcohol and a pleasant fruity or hoppy interest. When aged, it can take on port-like flavors. A wintertime sipper.
North Shore Regiment Barley Wine was released last week in time for Remembrance Day, and is available now in 750 ml bottles at the distillery/brewery and select ANBL locations.
