CALGARY, AB – The Dandy Brewing Company has a busy week ahead as it prepares to release a new seasonal beer, and open its new taproom to the public for the first time.
Coming out on November 18th is Tailor ReTailored, a Scotch ale named after a classic and groundbreaking 1833 novel by Thomas Caryle, and described as follows:
Much like Carlyle updated a classic format, we have taken a fresh spin on a classic beer. Coming in at 8% we put our direct-fire brew house to work with traditional kettle caramelization, all the while adding small amounts of smoked and rye malts to update flavors for the modern craft beer enthusiast.
Tailor ReTailored Scotch Ale will be available in 650 ml bottles at the brewery and select liquor stores, with draught to follow soon.
On Friday November 20th, the Dandies will be opening a tasting room at the brewery (11-1826 25th Ave NE, Calgary) that will include 8 tap lines pouring regular and seasonal Dandy brands, snacks, merchandise and more.
This is the first in a three step expansion project for Dandy, with the other phases being the tripling of the brewery’s capacity, and an overhaul of the fermentation cooling system to allow for more efficient cooling.
