ST. THOMAS, ON – Railway City Brewing has announced the latest release in its Barrel Reserve series of barrel-aged beers that are released exclusively at the brewery retail store in extremely limited numbers.
Vanilla Hazelnut Amber is a 6.7% abv ale with the following description:
Just in time for the holiday season, this barrel aged brew pairs perfectly with your hearty holiday meal. With deep amber hues, this beer is light in body yet flavourful. To the nose, strong notes of ripe dark fruit come forward with a subtle hint of brown sugar and vanilla. On the palate, plum and red wine are at the forefront, while its oak and dry finish reveals a slight vanilla and hazelnut taste. This delicious brew is made with six different types of malts, two types of hops, and whole vanilla beans all aged in a red wine barrel.
Barrel Reserve Vanilla Hazelnut Amber will go on sale Saturday December 12th at 11:00 AM in the Railway City retail store in downtown St. Thomas. The release will be limited to 250 bomber (650 ml) bottles, and sales will be limited to a maximum of 6 bottles per person while supplies last.
