LONDON, ON – Forked River Brewing has announced the retail release of three limited edition beers, including barrel-aged versions of two of its regular brands and a double IPA.
Myarsis Sour Rye Ale (5.8% abv) is a variation of Riptide Rye Pale Ale that has been aged in red wine barrels. The result “retains the robust flavour of the rye, but adds a tartness and rich oak flavour.”
The Oracle Sour Tripel (9.3% abv) is a batch of Trinity Belgian Tripel that spent 8 months in Chardonnay barrels from Tawse Winery. It’s described as being “assertively tart with a dash of ‘funk’.”
Queen’s Ranger (9.1% abv) is a double IPA with “as many late/dry hops as we could pack in”, giving it a bitterness level of more than 100 IBU.
All three beers are available now at the Forked River retail store in 500 ml bottles while supplies last.
