QUESNEL, BC – Barkerville Brewing has announced the release of two winter seasonal beers, one brand new and the other a returning favourite.
New arrival Paydirt is described as follows:
Paydirt is a 99% organic, 66 IBU, 8.1% Cascadian Dark Ale (also known as a Black IPA). With 13 distinct hop additions during the boil, and then dry hopped for good measure, Paydirt ensures you’ve hit IBU gold. Despite its stature, the beer is very smooth and well balanced.
Back for another year is 52 Foot Stout, which has the following notes:
52 Foot Stout is a full-bodied 7%, 52 IBU, face-warming favourite that yields the rich flavours and smoky aromas of coffee and dark chocolate with hints of pear and blackberry. This stout is blessed by the addition of boreal birch syrup produced locally in Quesnel at Moose Meadows Farm.
Both beers are out now in 650 bottles available at the Barkerville retail shop and select private liquor stores in British Columbia, as well as tap at better beer bars in the province.
