SAINT JOHN, NB – The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reports that New Brunswick’s newest nano-brewery has released its first beers in Saint John.
Launched by friends and homebrewers Jeff Gibbons and Adam McQueen, First City Brewery is a small operation, producing 40 gallon batches that will rotate constantly through different styles and brands.
The brewery is initially focusing exclusively on keg sales, with its first beers – including an IPA (6.5% abv) brewed using Magnum, Amarillo, Centenntial, Citra and Galaxy hops, and an ESB (6% abv) brewed with Challenger and Willamette – going on tap late last week and over the weekend at several bars in Saint John.
