BURNABY, BC – Belgian-inspired brewery Dageraad Brewing has announced the release of this year’s edition of an annual holiday specialty beer, as well as details about a pair of upcoming releases.
Out now at select private liquor stores in British Columbia is Anno 2015, a strong golden ale with the following description:
This is our last “Single Batch” release of the year and it’s brewed with the last harvest of fresh pears from Keremeos, BC. It took another 3 months to produce but it was definitely worth the time and effort. This Belgian-style Strong Golden Ale is complex and effervescent, with enticing aromas of bubble gum, coriander, and pear. After bottling, Anno spent 2 weeks in warm storage and 1 week in cold storage to re-ferment (bottle conditioning) and produce natural carbonation and an extra layer of complexity. It finishes very smooth, with a warming finish to help fend off the chill of winter.
Coming in January are London, “a Canadian take on a Belgian rendition of an English porter” that will be available in 650 ml bottles and kegs; and Irresolution, a draught-only ale that is “caramel in colour and rich in flavours of dark cherries and dates”.
