VANCOUVER, BC – Strange Fellows Brewing has announced the upcoming release of a new limited edition beer, as well as the latest in its Strange Days series of events that are inspired by superstitions and customs from around the world.
Hitting the taps soon with be Alligator Dark Saison, a 6% abv ale described as follows:
This Saison is brewed with grapefruit zest and grains of paradise (a.k.a. Alligator pepper) and contribute to its distinct peppery character. Underlying sweetness and fruity characteristic courtesy of Belgian yeasts. Hops are present but understated. Flavourful and complex, this beer sips well on its own and pairs beautifully with many foods.
The new beer should available in time for the brewery’s celebration of Up Helly Aa, a Scottish winter fire festival where participants dress in costume and burn a replica of a Viking longboat to mark the end of the yule season.
The Up Helly Aa festival will be recognized at the brewery from January 21st to 27th, with the main event taking place on the evening of January 26th, featuring live music by Beledrone and free beer for anyone who wears a kilt.
