MONCTON, NB – The first kegs from Atlantic Canada’s newest small brewery went on tap this past weekend in New Brunswick.
Moncton-based Bore City Brewing – named after the tidal bore in the Petitcodiac River – was founded by partners Stéphane Cormier, Denis Babineau and Jamie Melanson, all of whom are native to the Moncton and Dieppe region.
Currently a draught-only operation, the brewery’s first release is Marécage, a 7% abv Belgian-style saison that was tapped at Les Brumes du Coude in Moncton and The James Joyce in Fredericton.
Upcoming Bore City beers include Mondo, a 6.8% abv West Coast style IPA, and Spacetime Odyssey, a 6% abv robust porter.
