STONEY CREEK, ON – Revel Cider has announced that it will be celebrating its 1st anniversary next month with a weekly series of limited edition small-batch ciders.
Starting on the week of March 1st, and running until Revel’s official anniversary on March 26th, the Revelations series will include the following releases:
Week 1 – Bittersweet Freedom (7% abv): “A blend of bittersweet crabapples and an organically grown heritage varietal called Freedom, this cider drinks like a fruit-forward wine with grapefruit-like apple tannins on the finish.”
Week 2 – Oud Blanc (9% abv): “Our cider version of the traditional sour beer Oud Bruin. This is a blend of wild fermented Riesling and 100% Brett fermented cider.”
Week 3 – Wild Honeycrisp (6.5% abv): “This single varietal cider is made with only Honeycrisp apples. We fermented it with wild yeast and it’s picked up lovely tropical, creamy and spicy notes from our wild friends.”
Week 4 – Revelry (7.5% abv): “Cider made with Vinho Verde yeast, for a fruity backbone. This one is back sweetened with jucie cryo-concentrated in the Canadian winter for caramel and baked apple nuances.”
All four ciders will be available exclusively on tap at select licensees in Toronto, Guelph, Hamilton and London. For a list of participating locations, see the announcement on the Revel Cider website.
