TORONTO, ON – Mill Street Brewery has announced the release of its Spring Mix 2016, a sampler pack which switches up the format a bit from previous years.
While the 2014 and 2015 editions included three bottles each of the same two beers, this year’s pack features a trio of different and exclusive brands:
Don Valley Bench (4.8% abv / 11 IBU) was originally brewed for the International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration in 2012, and was featured in the Summer 2013 sampler pack. It is an “unfiltered wheat beer oak aged using an English ale yeast to develop notes of apple and pear”.
Big League IPA (7% abv / 80 IBU) was available last year as a limited run release under its original name, Grapefruit League IPA. While the name is now different, the beer is the same, and is described as “a golden coloured ale with a very floral ‘grapefruit’ flavour from American Cascade hops”.
Madawaska Maple Irish Red Ale (5% abv / 22 IBU) was developed at Mill Street’s Ottawa brewpub, and is made using maple syrup from the namesake Madawaska Valley, producing a “subtly sweet and malty Irish red ale”.
The Mill Street Spring Mix 2016 is available now at select LCBO outlets across Ontario, retailing for $13.65 per six pack.
