DARTMOUTH, NS – According to the Maritime Beer Report, a new brewery and associated bar & restaurant is getting set to open in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
DownEast Beer Factory will be launching soon at 612 Windmill Road, with beer production to be overseen by Rod Daigle, a brewer originally from New Brunswick who was most recently the brewer and co-owner at Ontario’s Brimstone Brewing.
Now back in the Maritimes with his young family, Daigle will be brewing three beers – Blonde Ale, Honey Irish Red, and IPA – that will be on tap at the co-located DownEast Tap & Grill, alongside more than a dozen other local craft beers.
The Tap & Grill side of the business is aiming for an April 30th opening, with the house-brewed beers to be on tap sometime in May.
