TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced that it will be welcoming a well-known local politician to the brewery today to help brew a beer for an upcoming charity event.
Toronto City Councillor Norm Kelly will be pitching in on the creation of “an easy drinking, yet hop forward pilsner” that will be making its debut at the Brewers Plate on May 18th. This year’s edition of the annual beer and food charity event will benefit War Child, an organization that focuses exclusively on assisting children affected by war around the world.
In addition to donating beer and time to the event, Great Lakes will be auctioning off a chance to join Norm Kelly at the brewery for another collaborative brew day in the autumn, with the proceeds also going to support War Child.
