TORONTO, ON – Burdock has announced that the first beer from its barrel aging program will be released this week in very limited quantities.
Orange Wine Saison is a 6.5% abv “mixed-fermentation Saison [that] was aged in a single Southbrook Vineyards Orange wine barrel for five months and bottle conditioned for three.”
The beer will be debuted tomorrow (Thursday April 28th) with a release event at the brewpub running from 5:00 to 7:00 PM that will feature flights of the 2014 and 2015 vintages of Southbrook Orange wine alongside the new beer.
Orange Wine Saison will also go on sale in the Burdock retail store at the same time, where it will be limited to 389 bottles, mixed between 500 ml and 750 ml formats that will retail for $10 and $15 respectively.
