TORONTO, ON – The Canadian branch of Scotland’s Innis & Gunn has announced that the first annual edition of a new limited batch beer is now rolling out in Canada.
Innis & Gunn Vintage Ale is a 7.7% abv ale that was brewed in 2015 and aged for 100 days in American bourbon barrels before being bottled with live yeast, allowing the beer to further mature and develop in the bottle.
Tasting notes for the beer are as follows:
Vintage was brewed with additions of crystal malt, roasted barley and Styrian Goldings hops. The beer sports a dark amber/brown color with red highlights and features flavors of caramel, coconut, cocoa, marmalade and almonds backed with notes of bourbon.
Innis & Gunn Vintage Ale will be available in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan, with the price ranging from $14.99 to $19.99 per 500 ml bottle.
