TORONTO, ON – Big Rock Brewery and restaurant partner Oliver & Bonacini have announced that their collaborative brewpub in Toronto’s Liberty Village neighbourhood is on track to open this autumn.
Located at 60 Atlantic Avenue, Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery will feature a culinary program led by chefs Anthony Walsh and John Horne that will be “inspired by traditional European beer halls with contemporary British pub influences,” and on-site brewing overseen by brewmaster Connor K. Patrick.
From the press release:
Celebrating the entry of Big Rock into Ontario, Liberty Commons will be a collaboration between chef and brewmaster, and its menu will creatively marry food and beer. Drawing on Big Rock’s selection of quality craft products, the menu will include beer-based marinades and beer pairings. Special edition brews between chef and brewmaster will also feature prominently. The dining experience will nod to culinary theatre with tableside carving, oversized dishes and an emphasis on cooking over live fuels.
The multi-level space will include a large bar and dining room, events facility, and patio on the lower level, while the main level storefront will feature a retail shop and tasting room for Big Rock beers.
More details on Liberty Commons will be announced closer to the opening date this autumn.
