NEW HAMBURG, ON – The historic Imperial Hotel building in the small town of New Hamburg in Ontario’s Waterloo Region will soon be home to the community’s first craft brewery.
As reported by the New Hamburg Independent, Bitte Schön Brauhaus is being founded by Lee Brooks and Robin Molloy, the same husband-and-wife duo behind Descendants Beer & Beverage Co. which recently opened in nearby Kitchener.
The small Bitte Schön – which is German for “you’re welcome” – will focus primarily on German-style beers – “altbier, weissbier, kolsch, pilsner, bock, and hefeweizen” – brewed in small batches, and available in bottles and growlers at the brewery, and on tap at several local establishments.
Bitte Schön Brauhaus is expected to open in July. For more details, see the full New Hamburg Independent article and the brewery’s website.
