HAMILTON, ON – Collective Arts Brewing has announced the addition of a pair of ciders to its core brand line-up.
Local Press Apple Cider (5.6% abv) and Apple & Cherry Cider (5% abv) are brewed using 100% locally source fruit juice, and are described as follows:
Local Press Apple Cider: Made from 100% locally sourced, Ontario grown Northern Spy, IDA Red, and Spartan apples fermented with a French cider yeast resulting in a dry, pleasant base liquid. A small portion of fresh juice is then blended back to balance the acid impart a fresh fruit nose. Local Press is our flagship cider that will have you wondering where it’s been your whole life. This naturally gluten-free cider is an off-dry, crisp, clean and refreshing cider.
Apple & Cherry Cider: We start with Local Press cider and blend in fresh Montmorency cherry juice from the Niagara escarpment. The final product is bright and colourful with a tart fruity palate and a rich sharp nose. Like a sweet cherry pie without the buttery crust, this cider is a sweet indulgence in a glass.
Both ciders made their debut last Friday at licensed Loblaw’s locations in Ontario. Additional distribution or retail plans for the brands have yet to be announced.
