TORONTO, ON – Toronto’s Festival of Beer (TFOB) in partnership with the Swedish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce has announced details of a special section at this year’s event that will put the spotlight on the beer, food and culture of Sweden.
The Sample Sweden Pavilion will feature 28 beers from six of of Sweden’s top craft breweries – including Brekeriet Beer AB, Dugges Ale och Porterbryggeri, Gotlands Bryggeri, Omnipollo, Poppels Bryggeri and Tempel Brygghus – with most of them making their Ontario debut at the festival.
Also making the trip will be chefs Peter J Skogstrom and Roland Persson, both former winners of Sweden’s Chef of The Year award.
In conjunction with Sample Sweden at TFOB, all Bier Markt locations in the GTA will be pouring Omnipollo Leon Belgian Pale Ale as a feature tap from July 11th to 24th, and will have several Swedish dishes as menu specials. Customers will also be able to purchase a glass of Leon, a Swedish food item, and a ticket to the sold out Saturday July 23rd session of TFOB for $50.
The 2016 edition of Toronto’s Festival of Beer will take place on July 22nd to 24th at Bandshell Park in Toronto’s Exhibition Place. More than 60 local, national and international breweries will be on hand offering over 300 different beers to sample, along with numerous food vendors, educational sessions and demos, and live music in the bandshell.
