HALIFAX, NS – Propeller Brewing has announced that a brewer who recently returned to his native Maritimes after some time away has been named head brewer at the company.
Rod Daigle trained at the Siebel Institute and spent several years working at a number of breweries before co-founding Ontario’s Brimstone Brewing in 2012. He moved back east earlier this year, and after a short stint at another local brewery, he has now joined the Propeller team.
“Coming from the East Coast, I recognize and have long admired Propeller as one of the standouts in the industry,” says Daigle “I have romantic memories of cutting my teeth on craft beer and learning about the different beer styles from Propeller’s early days, almost twenty years ago. I also recognize craft beer is exploding in the Maritimes, and Halifax is at the epicenter. Propeller and Halifax are the perfect landing.”
