EDMONTON, AB – Alley Kat Brewery has announced the latest in the Back Alley Brews series of limited edition one-off beers.
High Level IPA is a 6.2% abv ale described as follows:
Buckets full of El Dorado, Mandarina Bavaria, and Jarrylo hops were thrown into this hop bursted IPA. A smooth bitterness makes way for fruity hop flavours and aromas of mango, orange, tangerine, pineapple, and pear. Hop Bursting is a brewing technique where you add all of the hops near the end of the brewing process, but don’t allow them to boil for very long. This allows the intense flavours of the hops to come through with a smooth bitterness that doesn’t overpower. The result here is a juicy IPA, ‘bursting’ with flavour.
High Level IPA will make its debut tomorrow (August 27th) during a Back Alley Beer Garden event at Accent Lounge. The full launch will follow on August 30th, with 650 ml bottles and draught available at select stores and establishments in Alberta by September 5th.
