KEWLONA, BC – Tree Brewing has announced details of the 2016 vintage of a beer that honours the hard work and dedication of the many vintners in the Okanagan Valley.
Redwood Wine Barrel Aged Ale is an annual limited edition release that is based on a different beer style each year. The latest vintage is described as follows:
Expect a smooth finishing dry style Stout with harmonious flavors of coffee, roast and chocolate. Aged in Quails’ Gate Vineyards Marechal Foch barrels for one year, the time in barrel has definitely mellowed out the roasted edges of the malt and added in layers of dark fruit and oak notes. A wonderfully complex brew, coming in at a sessionable 5% ABV and 35 IBU, it will be perfect for enjoying during the early part of the Fall season.
Redwood will be released next week in a limited run of 750 ml bottles available exclusively at the Tree Brewing Beer Institute retail store while supplies last.
