SURREY, BC – Central City Brewers + Distillers has announced that it retiring one of the core brands in its Red Racer line-up and replacing it with a new beer.
Red Racer Amber Ale – described as “an American-style copper-coloured pale ale with an easy drinking, balanced malt and hop flavour” – is being launched to replace the departing Red Racer Copper Ale.
Tasting notes for the 5% abv and 25 IBU Amber Ale are as follows:
The Red Racer Amber Ale has a lightly toasted body with a touch of sweetness balanced with a slightly bitter hop flavour. Columbus and Centennial hops give this beer a West Coast inspiration with light pine and citrus notes. The finish is dry and smooth with a slight lingering bitterness and roasted malt character.
Red Racer Amber Ale is being rolled out now in British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba, where it will be available in six-packs of 355 ml cans and on draught at select locations.
