NORTH BAY, ON – New Ontario Brewing has announced that it will be celebrating its 1st anniversary this weekend with a party at the brewery, a tap takeover at a local pub, and the release of two new beers.
At the brewery (1881 Cassells St., North Bay), in addition to the usual retail shop hours of 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, there will be an open house from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM featuring tastings, live music, birthday cake, and the final weekend for the Shark Pit food truck.
In the evening, the party moves to the Moose Cookhouse (134 Main St E., North Bay) where New Ontario will be taking over the taps from 9:00 PM until closing time, pouring all of the brewery’s current brands plus two new beers:
Pumpkin Porter is the fifth of the Voyageur Series of beers which are smaller batch and are meant to explore some more exotic styles of beer. 101 Anniversary Ale is a 101 IBU (International Bitterness Units) triple IPA that is a celebration of the first year of New Ontario Brewing and a tribute to 101st anniversary of the original brewery burning down. “It will be a favourite of hopheads,” quips Brewmaster Mike Harrison.
