WINDSOR, ON – Walkerville Brewery has announced that a barrel aged version of its seasonal Scotch Ale will be released tomorrow (October 28th).
Barrel Aged Scotch Ale checks in at 9.7% abv and 25 IBU, and is described as follows:
Our Barrel Aged Scotch Ale has been “resting” for 9 months in once-used Jim Beam bourbon barrels, creating a full flavoured yet delicate bourbon aroma with vanilla notes from the American oak. This deep garnet coloured beer combines a delicious balance of rich bourbon flavours with underlying semi sweet toffee notes and a dry roasted finish.
A release event for the beer will taking place at the brewery tomorrow from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, where it will be available to purchase in 500 ml and 1 litre bottles. The evening will also feature live entertainment by Tartan Army and food from Arcata Pizzeria.
