ABBOTSFORD, BC – Ravens Brewing has announced the launch of a new series of barrel-aged beers, with the first releases being a pair of fruit-infused farmhouse ales.
Skull Barrel Aged Cassis Saison and Wing Barrel Aged Peach Saison are both 6.5% abv variations on the brewery’s Farmers Ale French Saison.
Skull was aged in Merlot barrels with blackcurrants, and is described as featuring a “blend of dark fruit, oak, and berry notes with lemon, hay, and wheat”, while Wing spent time in Chardonnay barrels with peaches, and has “oak, stone fruit, and buttery notes with lemon, hay, and wheat.”
Both beers are available in limited runs of 750 ml bottles at the Ravens Brewing retail shop, and select private liquor stores in British Columbia.
