TORONTO, ON – After many months of brewing test batches for friends and family on a home-based nanobrewing system, brewer and young entrepreneur Matt Cummings has announced that the first wide-scale commercial release from his Pint Pursuits Brewing company is now available.
Co-founded by Cummings along with his uncle Larry Titchner, Pint Pursuits is currently brewing under contract at Wellington Brewing while scouting for a bricks-and-mortar location.
The flagship brand from the company is Lord of Lupulin, a 5.4% abv and 52 IBU beer with the following description:
Pale Ales have long been a favourite at Pint Pursuits. There is no shortage of the style in Ontario, but we came to find that many of the offerings leaned towards being malt-focused, with just enough hops to apply the name to it. Enter Lord of Lupulin. In designing this beer, we wanted to showcase the aroma and flavour attributes of the Azacca and Mandarina Bavaria hops, while keeping the bitterness in check. To do so, we added loads of hops very late in the brewing process, in order to preserve their tropical and citrusy qualities. The result? An aromatic, juicy, hazy Pale Ale brewed for hop lovers.
Pint Pursuits Lord of Lupulin is available now in 473 ml cans at select LCBO locations in Ontario. For more details, see the Pint Pursuits website and Facebook page.
