TORONTO, ON – Muddy York Brewing has announced details of a new seasonal release with a name inspired by “one of the most bizarre stories (from) Toronto’s history.”
Stork Derby Stout takes its name from The Great Toronto Stork Derby, a controversial competition that took place in the early 20th century based on the will of lawyer Charles Vance Millar, which bequeathed $500,000 to the woman who had the most babies in the decade following his death in 1926.
The 5.5% abv and 40 IBU beer is described as follows:
Our Stork Derby Stout is dark with heavily roasted flavors and aromas. With notes of mocha, vanilla and chestnut this stout has a silky smooth mouth-feel with an espresso-like finish. Deeply satisfying, this stout is exactly what you’d expect from a MYBC offering. Nothing strange or controversial about it!
Stork Derby Stout is available now in 500 ml bottles at the Muddy York retail store.
