TIMMINS, ON – The Timmins Daily Press reports that the first brewery in the Northern Ontario city will be opening to the public this week, although it won’t be pouring or selling beer just quite yet.
Full Beard Brewing is still a couple of weeks away from its first brew day, but founder Jonathan St-Pierre wants to give the local community a sneak peek of the facility, and also give them the opportunity to buy some merchandise for the holiday season.
The doors to the Full Beard brewery at 219 Wilson Ave. will be open from 5:00 to 7:00 PM today and tomorrow (December 15th & 16th), with St-Pierre on hand to show visitors around and sell them shirts, hats, growlers, glassware, and gift cards.
St-Pierre tells the paper that he hopes to brew his first full-scale batch on the week of December 26th, with an aim to release it by mid-January. In the meantime, the brewery’s flagship Five O’Clock Shadow Pale Ale is being brewed elsewhere under contract, and is available on tap at select bars and restaurants in Timmins and surrounding area.
