KITCHENER, ON – Brick Brewing has announced details of a $4 million expansion of its primary facility in Kitchener, as well as plans to sell its secondary plant in Formosa, a sale that will also include several beer brands.
According to a press release, the expansion of the Kitchener brewery – which opened in August 2015, replacing the original Brick plant in Waterloo – will include “improvements to blending, packaging and warehousing, […] the final step in consolidating operations to a single site to improve manufacturing efficiency and competitiveness.”
Sale of the Formosa plant, along with Brick’s Formosa and Red Baron beer brands and associated retail listings, is being managed by Deloitte Corporate Finance. Details on the sale are available to view on the Deloitte website.
Expansion work at the Kitchener site is expected to be completed by July, and the company intends to leave the Formosa site no later than September.
