Propeller Brewing Marking 20th Anniversary with Renovations, Rebranding & More

HALIFAX, NS – Propeller Brewing is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017, and the pioneering Halifax brewery has announced initial details for its plans to mark the milestone.

The year is starting with some changes, as the tap room and brewery tours at its Gottingen Street brewery will be on hold for the next 8-to-10 weeks to allow for renovations to take place. The retail store will remain open to sell bottles and growlers during construction.

Coming soon will also be a slight rebranding for the brewery, as well as an anniversary series of one-off One Hit Wonder beers, and special events throughout the year.

“Tomorrow is never a guarantee in any business — let alone craft beer,” says Propeller founder John Allen in a statement reflecting on the company’s two decades in business. “You have to keep your head down and do the job. You commit to showing up every day and making beer you’re confident is of the highest quality. That’s been our approach from day one, and beer enthusiasts of Halifax have rewarded us with their loyalty every single day since we opened.”
