COCHRANE, AB – Almost four years after it was first announced, Half Hitch Brewing will be opening its restaurant and taproom tomorrow (Saturday January 21st) in Cochrane, a town located just west of Calgary in southern Alberta.
Half Hitch has been founded by a family-led team that includes award winning homebrewer Chris Heier, his father Mike Heier, brother Kyle Heier and step-sister Brittney Kozloski, with several other relatives participating as shareholders.
The brewery’s three flagship brands – Farmer’s Daughter pale ale, Fire ‘n Fury red ale, and Shotgun Wedding brown ale – were launched last summer and have been available on draught at area bars and restaurants, and in cans and growlers at the brewery store. They will all be on tap at the Half Hitch taproom, alongside a selection of beers from other Alberta craft breweries.
Half Hitch Brewing is located at Unit 1, 10 Griffin Industrial Point in Cochrane. For more details, see the brewery’s website and Facebook page.
