SURREY, BC – Central City Brewers + Distillers has announced the release of the first whisky from its distillery division – a release that fittingly corresponds with the celebration of Robbie Burns Day.
Lohin McKinnon Single Malt Whisky is a 43% abv spirit named after its two creators, brewmaster Gary Lohin and head distiller Stuart McKinnon.
Described as a “smooth and refined small batch whisky made from the finest Canadian malted barley and pure BC water, (and) matured in premium bourbon oak barrels,” Lohin McKinnon is the first entry into a Central City whisky portfolio that will eventually “include aged and small batch limited releases using finishing casks and peat-smoked malt.”
