SMITHS COVE, NS – Lazy Bear Brewing has announced the upcoming release of a new limited edition beer brewed using a unique local ingredient.
As reported by Atlantic Canada Beer Blog, Bunchberry Orange Kölsch is a 4.5% abv lagered ale that was brewed with the addition of Poncirus trifoliata, or Chinese Bitter Orange, a cold-tolerant citrus fruit grown at Bunchberry Nurseries in the Annapolis Valley.
The beer will be released next Friday February 3rd with a beach-themed tasting event at Bunchberry. Quantities are limited, and any beer remaining after the launch will be available the next day from the Lazy Bear table at the Annapolis Royal Farmers’ Market.
