GORE BAY, ON – The Manitoulin Expositor reports that Split Rail Brewery is getting set to add new equipment and increase production next month, the second expansion for the brewery since it opened in 2015.
Following on the installation of brewhouse last summer, this new growth will see the addition of two new fermenters to expand production even further. The retail store and tasting room will be closed for the month of March to accommodate the work, and will reopen on April 1st.
Co-owner Andy Smith tells the paper that the brewery has also recently increased its cold storage facilities, and an expansion of the patio off of the tasting room is planned for the spring.
