EDMONTON, AB – Alley Kat Brewery has announced the latest in the Back Alley Brews series of limited edition one-off beers.
The Grand Subduction is a 6% abv and 64 IBU ale with the following description:
The Grand Subduction is named after the Cascadian Subduction Zone, where the water and soil provide prime conditions for high quality, flavourful hops. The subduction zone is where two tectonic plates collided to create a line of volcanoes and potential earthquakes. We hopped our Cascadian Dark Ale with Cascade and Simcoe, both of which are from the CSZ, leaving this dark ale with hints of lemon, grapefruit, and pine, with a dry roasty finish. Add in rich, dark malts and you have one earth shaking beer!
The Grand Subduction is available starting today (March 2nd) in 650 ml bottles at Alley Kat and select retail stores. It will also be available on draught exclusively at The Next Act Pub later in March.
