TORONTO, ON – Ontario Beverage Network reports that a brewing company named after a neighbourhood in Toronto’s east end has announced details of two upcoming beer launch events.
Beaches Brewing was founded by Carl Pratt, a resident of the Beaches neighbourhood who is aiming to “brew beer that our neighbourhood bars and restaurants want to sell.”
Currently brewing under contract at Second Wedge Brewing in Uxbridge, Beaches Brewing currently has one brand available – 227 Winter Amber Ale (6.4% abv, 48 IBU) – which is described as follows:
The 227 Amber Ale is a North American style Amber Ale; perfect for this winter season. Its namesake is an ode to Toronto Fire Station 227 on Queen St. E. Think of it as a Pale Ale with a winter jacket on.
227 Winter Amber Ale has been on tap at Castro’s Lounge and The Grover Pub in the past few weeks, and will be officially launched later this month with tasting events at both locations of Skwish Craft Bar Kitchen – Beaches (2252 Queen St. E.) on Thursday March 16th, and Leslieville (1192 Queen St. E.) on Wednesday, March 22nd.
