FREDERICTON, NB & CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Picaroons Traditional Ales and Upstreet Craft Brewing have announced the co-release of Rye’d On Imperial Rye, a collaborative project featuring two beers that are almost – but not quite – the same.
While both 8% abv brews were made with “the same grain bill complete with massive amounts of rye”, Upstreet used a lager yeast for fermentation, while Picaroons used its signature Ringwood ale yeast.
The two versions of Rye’d On will be debuting on March 11th at the Fredericton Craft Beer Festival, where Picaroons and Upstreet will have booths next to each other allowing for an easy comparison of the pair.
The following week, bottles of both beers will be released at ANBL locations in New Brunswick and PEILCC stores in Prince Edward Island, where they’ll remain available while supplies last.
