TORONTO, ON – Amsterdam Brewery has announced the release of the latest in the Amsterdam Adventure Brews series of limited edition beers.
Iona Scotch Ale is a 5.6% abv and 25 IBU ale described as follows:
Iona Scotch Ale was brewed with naked oats, wildflower honey, Maris Otter, toasted malts and touch of smoke in the finish. The extra long boil caramelizes the wort and intensifies the flavour. Our friends at Rosewood provided the honey which we used for subtle aromatics instead of fermentables. A good Scotch ale should have a real depth of malt flavour and warmth to it. While this Scotch ale is very different than a Wee Heavy we think you will like the new direction that we have taken this beer in.
Iona Scotch Ale is now available a limited run of 650 ml bottles on sale exclusively at Amsterdam’s Queens Quay and Esandar retail locations in Toronto while supplies last.
