WINNIPEG, MB – PEG Beer Co. has announced the first release in its Community Tap Series, a new program that will focus on beers brewed with input and assistance from local community members, while also supporting local charity initiatives.
Don’t Call Me Honey Brown Ale was brewed on March 8th in conjunction with International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD) by a team of female brewers led by Dot Ball and Sara Drysdale.
The first IWCBD beer to be brewed commercially in Winnipeg, it was brewed using local honey from BeeMaid and locally grown Willamette hops from Prairie GEM Hops, in keeping with this year’s IWCBD theme of using locally sourced ingredients.
Don’t Call Me Honey Brown Ale is on tap now at PEG Beer Co., with a portion of the proceeds going to Women’s Health Clinic.
