WINDSOR, ON – Craft Heads Brewing and Walkerville Brewery have announced the release of a new collaborative beer that has very special meaning for one of the participating brewers.
Walkerville brewer Jeffrey Craig was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last September, and has been on medical leave since then for treatment and recovery. In the meantime, Bryan Datoc of Craft Heads extended an open invitation for Craig to come in for a collaborative brew day when he felt ready, and Craig recently took him up on the offer.
The result of the collaboration is Fine N’ Dandy Dandelion Saision, a Belgian-style saison brewed with local dandelion tea. It’s available on tap exclusively at Craft Heads for the month of April, with 100% of the sales going to the Canadian Cancer Society.
In addition, t-shirts commemorating the collaboration are available at Craft Heads and Walkerville for $20, with proceeds also going to the CCS, and Walkerville will be hosting a fundraising event on April 21st featuring a special cask of Fine N’ Dandy Dandelion Pilsner.
