FERNIE, BC – Fernie Brewing has followed up last month’s announcement of three seasonal releases for spring with details of another new seasonal brand, as well as the latest edition of its seasonal sampler package.
The Real Peel Grapefruit IPA is returning as a spring/summer seasonal after a previous appearance as a limited edition bomber release. Sitting at 6.4% abv and 68 IBUs, it’s described as follows:
A light-coloured IPA, with bold citrusy and grapefruit flavours. This refreshing IPA has additions of grapefruit peel and a whole lot of citrusy hops, including Amarillo, Centennial and Citra.
Also announced is this year’s edition of Fernie Summer Craft Collection, a mixed 12-pack containing cans of four warm-weather-friendly beers: Project 9 Pilsner, The Griz Pale Ale, Big Caboose Red Ale and Slingshot Session IPA.
The Real Peel and the latest sampler pack are available now at the Fernie tasting room and retail store, and will be in stores throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba (sampler pack only) by mid-April.
The brewery has also announced that its tasting room and store will be closed for renovations as of April 17th for approximately eight weeks. Production will continue during the closure, and customers are encouraged to visit local stores and bars to purchase Fernie products during the closure.
