IQUALUIT, NU – Nunatsiaq Online reports that a brewery set to open later this year in Canada’s northernmost capital city has announced a contest to name its beers.
Nunavut Brewing Company – aka NuBrewCo – is looking for potential beer names that “reflect the geographic location of the brewery and have an arctic theme.”
All Nunavut residents aged 19 and over are encouraged to submit their suggested names via the brewery website before May 31st, and selected winners will awarded $100 each.
NuBrewCo is aiming to release its first beer, Sylvia Grinnell Waters Brew – named after the nearby river that supplies water to the brewery – in time for it to be stocked at Iqualuit’s first retail beer and wine store, which is opening this July.
