CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Stampede has announced that locally brewed craft beer will be officially available at the event for the first time this year – albeit on a somewhat limited basis.
In a statement released last week, organizers announced that beer from 23 members of the Alberta Small Brewers Association will be served at The Big Four Station bar and restaurant in the International Pavilion on Stampede Park during the run of the Stampede (July 7th to 16th, 2017).
In addition, a Brewmaster’s Dinner Series that will “pair craft beer with specialty menus created and prepared by Calgary Stampede chefs” will also be taking place.
All other licensed venues and events on the Stampede grounds will continue to exclusively offer beer from Anheuser-Busch InBev, the parent company of Labatt Breweries, which is a primary sponsor of the Stampede.
